CLEAR ALLToygers are affectionate, medium-sized designer cats with a short, striped coat that resembles a tiger. These cats are similar to their big cat cousins in pattern, movement, and confidence. Toygers are indeed a call of the wild right in your own house with their dramatic stripy, glittery coat on a solid orange or reddish-brown background. If you are searching for an exotic-looking cat with an easy-going, gentle demeanour, the Toyger could be the breed for you.
These mini tigers are approachable and outgoing cats that thrive on human companionship. As a new cat breed, the Toyger is still in development as cat breeders work to duplicate the colours and patterns of a tiger with ever-increasing precision. Tigers are, sadly, an endangered species in the wild, and many Toyger breeders are also concerned with preserving the majestic wild species that these cats were created to look like.
The beautiful and enchanting Toyger is highly intelligent and trainable. They can run agility courses, play a game of fetch, and walk on a leash or harness. These active cats will continuously entertain both children and adults but rarely annoy or tire you. Because of their intelligence, it’s important to keep their minds stimulated by teaching new tricks, offering varied puzzle toys, and through regular interaction. An exercise wheel is a good choice for Toygers to keep them entertained and to help them maintain a healthy weight.
Toygers love to be part of the family. They enjoy human attention and want to be wherever their owners are. They can be left alone for short periods because they have an independent streak. However, they are happiest when fully involved in everyday family life. If you put the effort in, your Toyger will become the most affectionate, loyal feline companion you’ll ever have.

The Toyger is famed for its glittered fur and mackerel vertical markings that resemble those of a tiger. The International Cat Association describes these cats as having dark broken markings on a vividly orange background on the top portions of the cat. The undersides and insides are paler, enhanced by a glitter coating over the entire coat.
These are short-haired cats with a muscular body and big-boned, high-set shoulders. They also have deep chests, muscular legs, and a very lean appearance. Their tails are long and rounded at the tip.
Toygers have long, broad, wedge-shaped heads and heart-shaped muzzles, with prominent whisker pads and small, rounded ears. Their eyes are relatively small compared to the size of the head and slightly slanted. Eye colours range from hazel to dark brown or they can be green or golden.
Currently, the only recognised coat colour of this breed is brown mackerel tabby. However, snow mackerel tabbies are also available. Refinement for this breed is still ongoing as breeders try to perfect the tiger pattern even further.
Despite their wild appearance, Toygers are gentle, playful, social, and affectionate. This makes them a great choice for families with children or other pets. Toygers love to be involved in everyday life with their beloved human companions. They are also highly intelligent so they tend to adore clicker training and can be taught to perform a range of tricks from ‘sit’ to retrieving toys. While they do enjoy curling up on their favourite person’s lap, these are energetic cats that need regular entertainment to prevent boredom in the form of games, training, or fuss. They are also great athletes so consider adding a tall cat post or cat shelves to your home so they can stretch those muscles.
Unlike most cat breeds, Toygers have an affinity for water. So, expect them to be investigating the dripping tap or diving into a full bathtub! Just make sure you keep an eye on your feline companion to stop them from getting into mischief.
These cats are generally laid-back by nature, so they fit into most lifestyles. While they can be left alone for short periods, these cats prefer to be around people. Otherwise, they can become destructive and bored. Entertain your Toyger regularly with puzzles, interactive toys, and even outdoor access for extra stimulation. Toygers are generally very accepting of lead training so you can take your young feline out for a walk. The other alternative is to install an enclosed, outdoor catio so your kitty can enjoy watching the birds and exercise their hunting instincts.
Toygers are very social by nature, so they are best suited to homes where someone is around for most of the day. If left alone for long periods, they can become very vocal and destructive. However, because they are so social, these cats do well around children and other cats, as well as cat-friendly dogs. Saying that, it's still best to supervise all interactions between your Toyger and other pets and children to prevent any mishaps.
Toygers are energetic cats, however, it's still best for them to be indoors only as their adventurous streak and athletic abilities can get them into trouble! Furthermore, their stunning appearance can make them a target for thieves. Toygers need plenty of mental and physical stimulation to remain happy so make sure you have the time to devote to their needs. Training is a great way to stave off boredom because Toygers are incredibly intelligent and enjoy the mental stimulation that comes with regular training.
Burmilla Shorthairs are medium-sized cats that reach a weight of 6 to 13 pounds and grow to be 10 to 12 inches tall. They have muscular bodies, a sturdy structure and slender legs. Shorthairs have a short double-layer coat that feels soft and silky to the touch. Their fur can come in various colours, but the silver-tipped shading is the most common by far. Other possible colours and patterns include black, blue, brown, cream, lilac, red, or tortoiseshell.
They have regular-sized ears with a slight forward tilt, but their most distinctive facial feature is undoubtedly their eyes. Burmilla Shorthairs have amazing black rimming around their eyes (and also their nose), which makes these glamorous felines look like they are wearing thick eyeliner. In addition, most Burmillas have striking green eyes, which, combined with the black rimming, make them stand out from afar.
As Burmillas are a cross between a long hair and a short hair breed, some will have semi-long coats, known as Burmilla Longhairs. However, as the shorthair gene is most dominant, most Burmillas have silky, short hair. This fur rarely sheds, and most Burmilla Shorthairs keep their coats in top condition themselves, but you can help by brushing them once a week.

It's been a few months since we decided to find a Chihuahua puppy to join our family, however we had issues finding a good breeder.
We contacted The Pedigree Paws and they connected us with a very unique breeder in Greece. Many videos and pictures were shown, the breeder shared with us the proof of vaccinations, deworming and her 5 generation pedigree. We were fortunate as George, the breeder was able to deliver the puppy to us personally. We are very pleased with our beautiful Athena.
